THERE’S NO ROOM FOR BULLYING AT FALL BRANCH SCHOOL

Bullying is defined as a relationship in which one individual (or group) seeks to dominate, control, and/or terrorize the life of another. We know bullying can be pushing, shoving, hitting, and spitting, as well as name calling, picking on, making fun of, laughing at, and excluding someone. Bullying causes pain and stress to victims and is never justified or excusable as “kids being kids,” “just teasing,” or any other rationalization. The victim is never responsible for being a target of bullying. Bullying is not welcome at our school. Our guidance counselor will be working with our students

using curriculums entitled a Bully-Free School Zone and Preventing Bullying at School. She will be working on skills that will help students understand the definition of bullying, behaviors that are considered bullying, the effects of bullying behaviors, and develop empathy for targeted students, ways to respond to bullying behavior, when and how to report bullying, and the consequences the school has established for engaging in bullying behavior. Help us at Fall Branch in making our school “Bully-Free”.
