*** Be A Volunteer ***
You can make a difference by being a PASS Volunteer.

No matter how small or great the task...

Tiger Power  Every Hour!

  Aims Of Our Program

The goal of our PASS volunteer program is to give parents an opportunity to be more actively involved in the education of their children. By doing so, parents and other interested persons become a much needed support system for the students, teachers and the entire school community. Volunteers can help by not only providing teachers more instruction time in the classroom, but also allowing the instructional assistants time to be in the classroom helping more with individual students. Our program also greatly increases awareness among volunteers of the many needs within the school setting which can be met by those who are willing to volunteer their time and talents to the students and teachers in our schools.

  PROGRAM GUIDELINES

Volunteers, as all visitors, will check in at the school office. They will sign in at their designated place and get their name tag. They will always check out through the office when leaving.

Volunteers always work under the supervision of a teacher or other staff member at the school. Instructions and materials for a task will always be provided. Volunteers are not substitutes for the teacher and will not be expected to perform in that capacity while volunteering.

Volunteers are not responsible for the discipline of any students. In the event of a potential problem, the volunteer should alert the principal or another staff member at the school.

Volunteers shall respect the right of every student that any information concerning them be kept strictly confidential. Volunteers are expected to work cooperatively with the principal and staff members when working with the children and their teacher. The interest of every child is foremost in the school setting.

Volunteers, as well as school personnel, are expected to adhere to the dress code that is effect for students.
