I am one of the two interventionists here at Grandview. This is my seventh year teaching in Washington County Schools. I graduated from ETSU with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have an ESL endorsement from MTSU. I taught preschool for 4 years at Tri-Cities Christian Schools in Gray before substituting at Grandview. I then went to Fall Branch as a Special Education Resource Instructional Assistant for 4 years. I am super excited to be here!
I am married to my best friend, Johnathan Garst (known to many in Washington County Schools as Mr. Garst)! I live on a farm with my family, including my step-son, Matthew, who loves to farm, and our new baby, Caleb, who was born in March.
I have always LOVED to read! And my dream job has always been to teach others to love reading as well.
Sometimes things are hard. Keep trying! Just know...YOU can do it! I am always here for you!
