Welcome to Mrs. Fox’s Classroom

  • Hello students and families!  My name is Kandi Fox and I have two grown daughters Sam and Sydney that live on their own now. My husband Scott is retired from David Crockett where he taught for 42 years. I am a graduate from Tennessee High School and Tusculum College for my undergraduate, Milligan for my Masters Degree in Education and from Arkansas State University for my EDS degree. I taught at Gray Elementary for 10 years and 16 years here at Grandview. I love traveling, reading books, spend time with family and friends. I love playing games and gardening. I love my job and seeing the light go on when my students get what I am teaching. This is a wonderful profession when you can see the students grow and blossom.       1.  Students MUST be prepared for class on time.

      • Follow morning procedures.

      • Have Chromebook charged and ready to go. 

      • Have all work ready from the previous day.

    • 2.  You MUST ask for permission to:

      • Speak during class.

      • Leave your area during class.

      • Leave the classroom at any time.

    • 3.  Students must show respect to everyone and everything with their language, behavior, AND attitude.

I BELIEVE

I believe the education of a child is the responsibility of the student, parent, and the teacher, and if any of the three fail to do their job the education of the student suffers.

What is History?

History: Listen closely to the word: history.  Do you hear another word in it? Do you hear the word story?  History is a story.  It's the story of all the people who have lived before us.  It helps us remember what we are and what we've done. 

When you study history, you learn stories of great men and women who have done extraordinary things.  You'll meet a Chinese emperors who - long, long ago - built a wall so large that astronauts today can see it all the way from outer space.  History is also the story of ordinary people, of farmers, builders, artists, sailors, soldiers, teachers, and children.  Their stories are worth knowing.  They are our stories.  History is about how we have changed and how we've stayed the same.  So History is for everyone's story.

Building Bridges

Teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross. Then have facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse the bridge inviting the students to build bridges of their own.
