Welcome Lamar Families!

I am excited to continue to serve as the principal at Lamar School for the 2024-25 school year!  We have a caring and devoted faculty and staff that work tirelessly to help your child succeed by building strong teacher-to-student relationships and by partnering with families!

A little information about me: I currently live in Jonesborough and am married to my wonderful life partner! I spent the first 7 years of my life in the Lamar community in Dogwood Village. This is my 15th year in education. I was honored to serve 3 years as principal at Fall Branch School and serve as Asst. Principal at Lamar 7 years ago. I have a B.S. in Music Ed. and B.A. in Music Performance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, endorsements from the University of Kentucky, and a M.Ed in Educational Leadership from ETSU, and am working on my EdS at Lincoln Memorial University. I taught music in inner-city Cincinnati and coached middle school soccer at Grandview. I am active in several civic organizations in Jonesborough and in my church community in Johnson City. I am proud to serve Lamar School and live in the beautiful community where I grew up!
