First Responder such as
Active duty employees of: Police depart., Sheriff depart., Correctional facilities, Fire depart., US military
Educators - Active employees of: Local schools, State schools, and County schools accredited by the native state
Medical/Health Care Worker- Active employees of: Hospitals, Pharmacies, Medical offices, Dental offices
First Horizon wants to help with the down payment by providing a Grant of up to $9,000.
Provide down payment assistance for borrowers who are defined as a "First Responder." Borrower income cannot exceed 80% of the Area Median Income, OR borrowers must be purchasing a primary residence income of a low- to moderate-income (LMI) census tract.
Recipients of the First Responder Program must qualify for and brain an eligible mortgage loan with First Horizon Mortgage.

Project Lead The Way provides STEM grants.
John Deere - PLTW Grant Opportunity 2025
Eligible schools must be located within 40 miles of the John Deere Community in Greeneville TN. Schools or school districts must enroll at least 50% of students who participate in the Free and Reduced Lunch program.
PLTW grants to schools interested in starting and expanding PLTW programs beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.
The funding will go toward PLTW programs with a focus on STEM.

1) TVA STEM Classroom Grant open August 1st: https://www.tsin.org/classroom-grants I can provide guidance but the grantor prefers teachers/administrators to write the grant. The Central Office will receive the potential awards and I will be in charge of purchasing. If anyone is interested please send me the budget before submission so the technology department may check over the technology that may be requested. The grant window closes on September 15, 2024.
