Ways We Communicate

We believe keeping lines of communication flowing is vital to the success of our students and their families.

Texts and Emails from the District

Families and students are automatically enrolled to receive messages from our Apptegy communications tool. In case of an emergency, school closure, or delay, we also use this method to send a message to your phone and also an email. All students and their caregivers are automatically enrolled through PowerSchool. If you are not receiving these messages, check with your child's school's front office staff to be sure they have your correct phone number on file.

Our Website

Visit www.wcde.org. Depending on how important the message is, we communicate with pop-up messages, stories in the News section of the homepage or stories Live Feed section of the homepage.

Mobile App

Download the WCDE App. A link is in the footer of this page. Messages may come as pop-ups on your phone (if you enable notifications in the app). They will also appear in the Live Feed section of the home screen.

View Paperless Flyers and Newsletters

We send out paperless flyers from Apptegy: Engage and also from Peachjar. These will come to the email address we have on file. Flyers from both platforms are equally important. The difference is that Apptegy is used by staff to distribute information. Peachjar can be used by the public to distribute valuable school and community resources directly to families as digital flyers. These flyers come to your inbox and also can be seen on the district website by clicking a Peachjar logo.

Submit a Flyer for Distribution

To submit your flyer for district approval, review our Flyer Approval Guidelines by clicking here and follow the steps provided. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.
