Dr. Brooke Drinnon
Assistant Principal
I am excited to be joining the West View Elementary team this year as Assistant Principal. I feel honored to join such outstanding students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. I look forward to working alongside Dr. Street and all of you to continue fostering a positive and enriching learning environment at West View.
My background includes seventeen years of experience as an educator. For several years, I taught English Language Arts to students in grades 9-12 at Hancock High School, helping students develop their reading and writing skills and a love for literature, journalism, and public speaking. I then worked as a literacy coach for the Niswonger Foundation's Rural LIFE Grant, where I helped middle schools across East Tennessee enhance their literacy programs and personalize learning for students.
Most recently, I served as an Instructional Facilitator at Meadowview Middle School in Hamblen County, working closely with teachers to strengthen instruction and improve student outcomes. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of instructional best practices and a deep commitment to helping all students thrive.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lincoln Memorial University, a Master of Education in Secondary Education from ETSU, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Milligan University.
My partner, Matt, and I are thrilled to be relocating to Washington County, along with our three pets, Margo, Mabel, and Catsy Cline. In our spare time, we enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, and kayaking.
I believe in inspiring and empowering both teachers and students to reach their full potential. With a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and the appropriate supports, all students at West View Elementary can learn and achieve at high levels and be prepared for future success.
I am eager to meet each of you and work together to achieve our common goals. I value your ideas, feedback, and collaboration as we strive to provide the best possible education for all of our students.
I am looking forward to an exciting and successful school year ahead!
