Hello! My name is Mrs. Moates, and I am so excited to get to know you this year!

Let me start by telling you a little bit about me! I have lived in Johnson City my whole life. I am a product of Washington County Schools. I attended Gray Elementary, Ridgeview Elementary, and Daniel Boone High School. I graduated from ETSU with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have also completed the MathElites and SciencElites Eastman Scholar Programs through ETSU.

I was selected to represent Washington County and East Tennessee in the 2022-2023 Tennessee Rural STEM Collaborative that allows select teachers across the state to address rural STEM needs.

I was honored to be selected as the K-4 2024 West View Teacher of the Year and K-4 2024 Washington County Schools District Teacher of the Year. This will be my 5th year teaching 4th grade Math and Science at West View.

In my free time, I love to shop, sing, watch college football (Go Vols!) and Netflix, read, and most importantly, spend time with my family and friends. I am married to my wonderful husband, Hunter.

My favorite food is by far Pal's! You will probably see me with a Pal's sweet tea in my hand every day! I even worked there for a few years, and it still never gets old! My favorite color is purple, and my favorite places to be are on my couch, by the pool, at the beach, or on a cruise!

I am so blessed to work at such an amazing school with incredible students, parents, faculty, and community! I am so grateful to call West View my home!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or just to say hi at williamsonj@wcde.org.

I am looking forward to learning about you, and having a fun and safe school year!
