Hello! My name is Whitney Tapp and I teach 2nd grade! This is my sixth year teaching and fourth year teaching at West View, but my roots have grown deep here. I actually attended West View as a student! I am very blessed to have the opportunity to teach at a school that continuously advocates for their teachers to have the resources to engage, elevate, and empower our students academically, socially, and emotionally. My goal is to cultivate a love of learning, inspire students to be leaders, and promote positive relationships in a safe and nurturing learning environment.

My husband and I have a son, Brady, who is in 8th grade at West View where he plays football and runs track. My family is avid football fans, always cheering on the Vols and Ravens! We have three dogs and two cats. We love hosting friends and family at our house every weekend where you can always find us watching any given sport and grilling in the backyard.

I am so excited to teach your child this year, get to know each of them, learn all of their interests and hobbies, and watch them grow throughout their second grade journey!
